COVID 19 SURVIVOR
Donation protected
I was diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 18th, 2020. I went into Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Ky on that day and had to be put on a vent on March 20th. I was in a coma for 27 days. I was in ICU for 70 days with no visitors allowed the entire 70 days. This made it difficult for my family and I. The doctors and nurses had no hope, but my family had all the faith!! Thank goodness for wonderful nurses during all this time. They became like family to me. I was in the hospital for a total of 115 days before I could come home. During all of this I was on Dialysis, had a Trach and lost all of my fingers and toes. We were told that I would always be on dialysis, but I no longer am nor do I have a Trach. God has worked many miracles in my life!! You can look on the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital website/facebook for the video of my homecoming. Due to losing the fingers and toes, I will have prosthetics for my feet and hands. This has costed me a new van to make travel easier for me to all the rehab treatments and to Dublin, Ohio for the prosthetics. The rehab treatments and doctor visitors have begun and will travel to Ohio soon. Thank you for all the continued prayers and support. Any help/donations are greatly appreciated to help my family and I during this hardship. COVID-19 is a MONSTER virus and has really hit our family hard!! Stay safe!!
