James MacAulay Family Lost Home

This is to support a beauitful family that tragically lost everything in the Fort McMurray wildfire last week. James MacAulay and family.
Along with 80,000+ that had to be evacuated on short notice both Jamie and his wife Dinah were at work when the evacuation occured, they barely had time to get their children and get out seperately, they did not have time to get back to their home to retireve any priceless, irreplaceable possessions and barely escaped themselves with just the clothes on their backs.
My name is Perry McKechnie, Director of Operations for the company in which Jamie is employed. I am Jamie's boss... (not important but they asked me to say who I am in relation to the people the fund is being set up for) and he is a truly valued employee and just a great all around person and family man. I feel horribly that they have lost everything. Thankfully they got out safely along with thousands of others and eventually reunited as a family. I cant imagine the panic of being seperated, driving through flames to get out, seeing a wall of flames ripping through your neighborhood as you sit stuck in the traffic, wondering if you'll get through it and if you'll ever see your family again. Thankfully they did make it out which is the main thing, and with nowhere to go they eventually reached Edmonton where they took shelter and on Sunday (mothers day) Dinah and their 2 beautiful children flew out to Cape Breton to stay with family. You can imagine flights to cape Breton on short notice are very expensive. James is currently driving out there so they will have a vehicle when they are there, which at this time is completely unknown. So as you can imagine there are some significant costs mounting already, and this is what the funds would be used for:
*Travel costs
*Hotel
*Clothes
*Food
*Basic necessities
*Toys for the children to try to give them some sense of normality after all they've been through
*Think of a family with nothing, literally nothing - they need everything
There is so much up in the air right now with their house being lost in the fire and the town not suitable for anyone to come back, but the bitter reality, having lost everything, is they have nothing to come back to, and will have to rebuild from the ground up. There is no telling if or when they might return to work or even if there will be work to come back to as so much has been destroyed.
This fundraiser is to help this family with costs being incurred with sending the family back to cape breton and just the basic necessities as they get back on their feet and start putting their lives back together.
It's a tragic story and I know there are many, but these people are near and dear to my heart and I want to do something for them. I feel helpless. If you can spare anything to help this family through this terrible time it would mean so much!!!
Jamie is a first class guy and would never ask for help, but I know he needs it. For those that are able to help I thank you and I know the MacAulay family will be forever grateful.
