Having been born and raised in the South Bronx, I assumed my life would end exactly where it started. The idea of getting a private school education or attending one of the best colleges in the country, seemed more like an illusion than a possible reality. From gang violence and police brutality to not having heat or hot water some days. My background and socioeconomic status seemed as though they would hinder me from making it anywhere. But little did I know with a little perseverance and determination I could come a long way. Because of the passion and motivation I have to make it out of my circumstances, I've received a full scholarship to my current school, Nightingale Bamford, I have been able to apply to the colleges of my dreams. Unfortunately, financial circumstances have prevented me from attending these incredible institutions.

Since as she says ambition is the first step to success and the second step is action, I'm taking my niece's ambition and taking action to ask to you to please be so kind and help raise money for Tyanna's tuition. Having been accepted to one of the most prestigious colleges such as "Penn State" and not being able to attend has got to be discouraging . But she's holding her head up and for that I respect, support and love her. Because today she will do what other won't so that tomorrow she can do what others can't!
Your contributions will greatly appreaciate it and will be used solely for tuition and books. This will mean so much to me but more so to her and she will forever be greatful.
