Nahla

On Sunday Nahla was refusing to eat dinner and Liz was starting to think she may have an upset tummy. Monday morning she skipped breakfast and wasn't acting right at all so during Liz break at work she made an appointment with the vet for 10 am Tuesday. On Tuesday morning at 8 am Liz called me in panic that Nahla is throwing up clots of blood and sent me pictures. ( i won't go into detail). Thankfully the vet said to come right in and not to wait till 10. She spent the day at the vet while they ran tests and gave her IV fluids, antibiotics, anti nausea and pain meds. We were told we could pick her up at 4:45 and bring her home for the night with instructions that if anything worsens to go straight to nanaimo emergency vet. After getting home there was no change in Nahla, she wasn't moving, eating, or drinking. At 7:30 the vet called to check on how Nahla was doing and said he didn't want to wait till morning and stated that it would be in Nahlas best interest to head to Nanaimo and that he would be devastated if she didn't make it thru thr night.

The bill so far is over $1000 (before getting to nanaimo)

Liz is fully prepared to spend every penny in her savings to save her best friend.

They made it to Nanaimo safely and plan to wait there until they know she is going to be ok.

I am not sure if she'd like me doing this but I feel it doesn't hurt to try to get her a bit of help.
