Dave needs our help! He is one of the greatest souls I know. I met him while working at The Dubliner Irish Pub in Phoenix in 2011. Everyone instantly feels like family around Dave. He is a wonderful husband to his gorgeous wife, Becca Sue, and an amazing father to his children, Haven and Grace. Becca and Dave have had struggles losing their first-born daughter, Nevaeh Sue, at birth and then cancer diagnoses. Dave was diagnosed with two types of cancer in 2014 and with our support went into remission after treatment in 2015. In December of 2019, Dave was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma and started chemo quickly after. Halfway through his 2020 treatment the cancer morphed into Large B Cell Lymphoma. A new treatment plan started immediately 4 days a week, 6 hours a day, with a couple weeks break in between. We (his friends, family, the bar, and I would like to show our support during this arduous battle by hosting a fundraiser for our Dave. He has been there for so many of us and has given selflessly to many. The costs of cancer treatments (and potential stem cell transplant) in addition to not being able to work in the public, especially with Covid-19, puts a financial strain on the family. Join us to help celebrate his strength during this road to victory against his disease. With your help it can alleviate some stress and help him focus on this win. Donations are also greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at The Dubliner Irish Pub to Chris Fogo or with myself (Joanna) and Karen Moreno for a future benefit event the Dubliner will be hosting. Gift cards, silent auction items, anything will help. We will be hosting an online auction and post on the FB link below.
