Save Mrs C. M. Schwab School
Donation protected
My name is Sean P. McFadden. I now live in Calgary, Alberta Canada and attented Weatherly High School. I believe that the Mrs. C.M. Schwab building needs to be kept by the town of Weatherly. It has been a main stay and many like I, have walked up the steps to the building we called our high school. When I see the building in pictures, the memories flood back of all the students, teachers, adminstrators, and friends I had there. I am asking for one simple donation from each and every one of us, who gradutated from Weatherly High School to help keep the icon at the top of the hill. I have spoken to the Mayor and have made a pledge myself. For the next year, I will donate ten percent of net profits from my small business. It is not a vast sum for I am just starting out. The pledge will start out with $110 from my job completed last week.
My hope is to raise $100,000 to help with the costs associated with the purchase and or restoration of the building. Surely it will cost more but with this seed money, I believe that other agenices would step forward and see the commitment of those in Weatherly and beyond to keep this icon of the town.
Whether I ever come back to Weatherly or not, this is important to the town as a whole. It is with deep felt appreciation that I thank you in advance for being a part of this project. ALL monies raised will be going to this cause and not one dime will enter my pocket.
