Many of you know my dad. He is an amazing dad, husband, and most importantly, the world’s best Papa. We are starting this GoFundMe to support my mom and dad through my dad's recent medical journey.

Dad was taken by ambulance Monday, July 21, for internal bleeding. After receiving a blood transfusion, he was sent to Springfield for further treatment. After arriving, Dad had several tests done. During a scoping procedure, they found several esophageal varices. The doctors were able to band these to stop further bleeding. He then went through two more procedures: a paracentesis, which is a medical procedure that involves removing fluid from the abdominal cavity (ascites) using a needle or catheter, followed by a TIPS, which allowed for the placement of a shunt to redirect the blood flow from the liver. This should aid in the healing of the varices. At this time, the prognosis is good. He will be spending several days in the hospital. We are asking for donations to help with medical bills and travel.
