Washington Elementary Playground
Donation protected
Washington Elementary was built in 1929 and is home to 350 K-5th grade students. We are currently raising money to purchase a playground for our students and neighborhood children to use. This fundraising initiative is important in promoting health and physical fitness for our school and community members by giving them an appropriate and safe place to play. We are hoping to raise the rest of our funds by June 2017 so we can do a community build of our new playground during the summer months. Our students have been working hard for the past 2 years to raise funds for this playground. So far we have raised $48,000 out of the $55,000 that is needed. We will recognize anyone making a donation of $100 by displaying their name within our building. Those donating $250 or more will have their name displayed outside on the playground. Posters of the playground are posted in our hallway, and students are buzzing with excitement. We can’t wait to see the joy on the students’ faces when they can actually use it. We appreciate your support in this project for the children of Washington Elementary. Thank you!
