8 years ago I meet one of the greatest friends I will have in my whole life, Matthew Boedicker. When I first meet him we worked together. He made sure he came to work, helped everyone laugh daily, made sure we all had great memories, and later on made the best boss I could ever work for. He is a son, a brother, a uncle, a signigicant other, a father, and friend. He is an amazing artist ! As a friend he is loyal, honest, kind, loves animals (especially kitties), very humorous, and will do anything for anyone if he has the chance. He is sincere and is a very loving person. He makes all of our lives easier by doing whatever it takes to make the day easier and now its our turn to do the same for him.
Matt was diagnosis with cancer last year. He is a champ and is such a fighter. He was always positive and was going to kick cancers butt, no matter what happened, he would not let it bring him down. He worked and still did everything he could to still be there for everyone else, at one of the hardest times in his life. With lots of love and support from his family, significant other, kids and friends behind him, he kicked cancers butt in December 2015 and was cleared of cancer!
Matt keep on working, being the glue that holds some of us together at times with his free spirited ways, he naturally just went on and enjoyed everyday to his fullest, up until March this year.
Matt started having severe pain in March and returned to the doctors. After many sleepless nights, and being in pain, he was told the cancer returned, and things this time might not be as easy.
Matt is currently doing Chemo here in town, but he will be leaving and going to Columbus to have majority of his Chemo. He will be admitted into the James Centre and he and his family, will need OUR help! Medical bills for cancer are not easy, and long term stays mean more bills, less work, and being away from family.
Its time to put our donations together to help him. This page will be ran for donations for a few things:
-Medical Bills, Co-Pays and Hospital Stays
-Bills to help with transportation and gas of him and his family to visit and see him
-Bills to help whoever can be there with him at the James Centre to have a place to stay
-Covering food costs while away
- Covering bills at home while he is off work.
- Care Packages for Matt :) All the goodies that will fill him up with positive vibes and help him win this fight.
I also would like to possibly start a card flood. I am urging you to go out and buy 1 card that has a positive saying on it. Explain what Matt has helped you do, what has inspired you, or just a card full of happiness and prayers. You can contact me thru facebook @ Crystal Schimmoeller. I will be gathering as many cards from people that I can to put in a care packages filled with adult coloring materials, mugs for tea, heat pads, etc. If you have anything to donate please feel free to message me. We will be personally giving these to him.
Matt is not the type of person to ask for any type of help, but for my Mother's Day, this what I ask for. My children love him and please if you have a child, a sister/brother, a friend or family member that has touched your life like Matt has ours please do whatever you can. Any little amount can add up to help out where ever we can.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
