Hi, my name is Desiree, and I'm trying to raise money for my dental expenses. The reason I need help is because I developed AML Leukemia in 2013 at the age of 18. After being in remission for a couple of months, my leukemia returned. I had to undergo chemotherapy once again and get a stem cell transplant. Sometimes with a stem cell transplant comes a slew of life-long complications such as GVHD (Graft versus Host Disease). With my transplant, I developed lung GVHD, eye GVHD, and salivary gland GVHD. The thing that is affecting me the most now is salivary GVHD. Salivary GVHD causes extreme dryness of the mouth, which has caused cavities and cracking of my teeth. I've lost the confidence to smile, laugh, and talk to anyone, even my family. I also lost my father and had a stroke in the same year. I want to return to school, but I can't imagine conversing with my peers or teachers, much less smiling in a classroom.

I am asking for donations either to me or directly to the dentist if you are more comfortable going that route.
