Our Beloved Avó Funeral Expenses

To Our Beloved Family and Friends,

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Trindade Melo Peixoto, age 93 on Sunday, September 25, 2022.

As many of you know, our grandma held a significant role in our lives, she was our everything and most importantly, our second mom. She loved singing, cooking, cleaning, and caring for others. Trindade had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many lives with her generosity and faith in Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres.

Her journey began when her quality of life changed on June 29, 2022. She had fallen in her apartment in Newark where she was residing for over 50 years. She went into surgery for a hip fracture on June 30, 2022, and it was an uphill battle as she became bedridden which was unexpected.

We are thankful for every memory spent with her and anticipated on sharing many more memories with her however after three long months of fighting so hard, it was her time. She took her final breath surrounded by her beloved husband and granddaughters, Ashley and Chelsea. She is now reunited with her beautiful daughter and we now have two of the most beautiful Guardian Angels watching over us.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Gosselin Funeral Home, 660 New Dover Road Edison, NJ. The Funeral Mass for Trindade will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Elizabeth, NJ. Entombment to follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations to assist with our Beautiful Grandmother’s funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated.
