Meredy Decker's Breast Cancer Fund

My close friend Meredy was diagnosed with triple-positive stage 1 and 2 breast cancer just after Thanksgiving of 2015.  She started several months of chemotherapy in January, which will be followed by surgery, radiation, and more biological infusion therapy.  Altogether, she is facing over a year's worth of treatments and interventions.  A port was placed to make her treatments easier on her body.

Meredy is a wife and the mother of three beautiful young daughters.  She is a big softie when it comes to animals, and has two cats and two dogs at home.  She has been active in APA pool leagues in the triangle area for many years, winning several trips to national team tournaments in Las Vegas.  Oh, and Roll Tide!

Meredy works full-time at Tecan, and although she is hoping to work as much as possible throughout her treatments, she is already dealing with some side effects from the chemo that will make this difficult.  While some of the costs of her treatments are covered by medical insurance, she and her family are facing substantial out-of-pocket expenses to cover their deductible, co-payments, and other non-covered expenses.  Money was tight for Meredy's family even before adding in these medical expenses. Please help in raising funds to help make sure Meredy can focus on fighting this cancer and being well rather than worrying about finances.
