Funeral for Aurora Rodriguez after battling covid

With a heavy hearts, we ask for your help. Our beautiful Mom, Aurora Rodriguez, passed July 26th 2020, due to covid19 complications. As most of you know mom had underlying health issues that made her more vulnerable to the virus (Asthma and COPD) on July 6th she felt ill and short of breath this was when she was admited to Lakeland Regional Hospital. We had daily communication with mom and she seemed to get better and stronger with every passing day. Mom assured us that she would be home within a week or two. Mom was there for almost 3 weeks recovering fine until things took a turn for the worst. on Friday July 24th around 11pm her nurse called to inform us that intubation should be started. Myself and my siblings were there Saturday morning (July 25th) to have consultation with our mom. She and we agreed that intubation was necessary at that point. This is when she authorized us to contact her siblings to inform them of her status and prognosis. She was then put into a sleep coma to start the process of intubation. We went home and prayed for our beautiful dear Mom. Early on Sunday morning (July26th) we recieved a phone call from the nurse informing that our mother's prognosis had greatly deteriorated and that we should come see our mom as quickly as possible to say our farewells. Mom was no longer capable of using her lungs without the assistance of the machine. Our mom had informed us beforehand that she would not wish to be on a life support system. We were able to say our goodbyes to our mom on that Sunday morning but we were in no way ready for her to go from us yet. This fundraising page is to tell my moms story of her battle with the horrible covid virus and to raise funds to cover the cost of funeral expenses. God bless you all.
