Hope for Harry

Donation protected
August 2015 began our journey with cancer. Harry was diagnosed with stage 4 glio sarcoma. Surgery removed a tennis ball sized tumor from his right temporal lobe, 2 days later he suffered a stroke which left him unable to use his left side. Three weeks later he developed a kidney stone, had stents put in until the infection was under control then had laser surgery to blast the stone, entered a rehab facility to help regain mobility and swallow functions (he was on a feed tube). Rehab lasted 10 days due to lack of proper care and we came home with pt, ot and st. He endured 6 weeks of chemo and radiation therapy, the most indescribable anguish he faced. November he was readmitted for an allergic reaction to the sulfa and chemo, he broke out in blisters from head to toe, front to back and side to side. He was discharged in December with hospice care and in January suffered a seizure, we came home 2 weeks later unable to speak, or get out of bed. In late March was readmitted for the onset of pneumonia, we again came home 2 days before his 56th birthday. All through this he remained determined to beat this beast, unfortunately the beast won May 5th. My family thanks you from our hearts for taking the time to read Harry's journey with cancer. Any help you can give will go to his medical expenses as insurance doesn't cover it all.
