GC’s Surgery

I know it’s a hard time, but any help is appreciated! GC finally found out what was wrong with his hip that’s been injured the past year and a half. I’m sure you’ve all noticed his limp that caused him constant pain. We found out he has AVN which is a bone disease that deteriorated his hip causing that joint to be bone on bone. After seeing specialists he found there was no other treatment besides a full hip replacement, and he’s made it through that surgery like a champ! Insurance is a luxury that the service industry workers don’t get and many opt out of having any coverage in hopes they’ll never need it. Affordable plans have high deductibles with severely limited procedures or preventive care covered. His insurance plan will only start paying the bills coming in after he spends $8,000 out of his pocket. The surgery and post operation care bill will likely reach the total of tens of thousands in cost. If there is anything that you can donate or if you can share this page, it would be so appreciated. No one plans to need a hip replacement at age 33, especially during a pandemic where every service industry worker’s income and employment was so drastically affected. I don’t expect to raise enough to cover everything, but any funds we can help put towards this incoming bill would take away some financial stress for someone we all love!
