Francisco Galicia Memorial Fund

On July 21st, 2020, Francisco Galicia passed away due to what seems to be congestive heart failure. He was having trouble breathing for weeks and after checking himself into the ER he learned that his heart was growing larger and larger. He was moved to ICU and his doctor called to let us know that they were worried about him. We started reaching out to friends and family to let people know what was happening, but within the hour they let us know we lost him. This is a shock and has been difficult for all of us that knew Frank. Our family is devastated and we are doing the best we can to move forward. The outpouring of love and support from those that knew him is great and so appreciated during this time. Frank didn’t have life insurance, and we’ve had a lot of his friends ask if they can help with his funeral and cremation costs. We wanted to set up this GoFundMe as an easy and transparent way for those that would like to give monetarily. The funds raised will be used to help offset the cost of transport, cremation, memorial service costs and ultimately an urn niche at a cemetery in South Bend. In the event that there is any money left over after all costs are paid we will make a donation in Frank’s name to The LGBTQ Center in South Bend, Indiana. We will also post updates here as we have firm details on the memorial service. There will be a virtual service option that will allow his many friends from around the world, and those locally who would like to safely social-distance, to take part. Thank you for reading and caring for Frank. He had such a kind and giving heart and is already deeply missed.
