Hey everyone,

My name is Johann and unfortunately, my Inang (grandmother in Tagalog/Filipino) recently passed away on 12/17/24. I'm trying to gather funds to help my mom get back to the Philippines to attend the funeral in person. She hasn't seen her mom in over 23 years, and she was actually supposed to go back in February 2025 for Inang's 95th birthday. With the current circumstances, that isn't the case anymore. She already missed her other two brothers' funerals already, and I don't want my mom to miss this one.

We're trying to get my mom there as soon as possible and eventually some of our other family members like my brother, sister, and my dad. With the costs of flights to the Philippines being close to the holidays and other circumstances, the flight costs are astronomical, and any donation will help with the financial burden of attending the funeral.

My brother and dad haven't been back to the Philippines in over 23 years as well, so I hope we all can attend in person come January. My main concern right now is getting my mom back as soon as possible to see her last living family.

My mom has sacrificed everything to come to the US to raise my siblings and I; the one thing I'd like to do is at least give her the closure she needs.
