The oldest Wombat in captivity needs a new home!
We are excited to announce plans for a brand new Wombat Retirement Village for Ballarat Wildlife Park’s most famous resident, Patrick the Wombat, and his other wombat friends. $50 000 is required to fund the new exhibit, and we would love to raise this in time for Patrick's birthday on the 29th August. A new home is the best birthday present anyone could ask for!
To support the fundraising, we have launched a GoFundMe page for this important cause. We are sure that Patrick would greatly appreciate any donation, large or small!
The new exhibit will feature larger habitats for all our wombats, better viewing and educational opportunities, and a giant grassy exercise yard for all the wombats to enjoy. You will even be able to see Patrick and all his wombat friends resting in their climate controlled burrows by walking through a human sized wombat burrow!
