Prayers for Casey!

Casey has written his story for me to share with all of you:
This is all very sudden. I went to the ER late one night in November with severe lower back and abdominal pains, much worse than the usual aches and pains expected from hustling around a restaurant kitchen. I was discharged on Friday the 13thwith an urgent referral to urology for “cancerous-looking material.” That Monday I saw the urologist; two days later had an oriectomy (i.e. goodbye, “Lefty”); and three weeks later, started chemo for Stage Three Testicular Cancer.
I anticipated next Monday to be the end of Round One (of four) of chemo. As of today (12.28.2020), my weekly labs indicate extremely low WBC and therefore I am now considered as having a compromised immune system. Though my body seems to be tolerating my first round of chemo well, my WBC’s need to be round 500 to continue my treatments. 1500 is normal; 500 is ideal for chemo patients; mine is 150 as of this morning. We will try again next week, after a round of antibiotics.
I have not worked since November 12 and my oncologist has excused me from work through April, 2021. About three weeks ago, I moved back home with my mom and she is basically managing my medical needs and financial resources. Though Mom (Danielle Casey) is managing to provide my everyday essentials, we really need help with a couple of urgent needs.
We are hoping that this GoFundMe account will raise money for storing my DNA in a CryoBank. The collection has been frozen; we are asking for your help to afford long-term storage (ten years – hey, I’m only twenty!).
Most of all, keep up those prayers! Thank you for your friendship and support. Here's to good health in 2021!
