We’ve been planting Martin’s memorial garden at Emerald House, Sam’s care home: Buddleja ‘Flower Power’, Lavender, Apple Blossom and Honeysuckle.

Sam’s carers made a plaque with Sam’s writing carved into wood, the most beautiful sentiment - and I think Sam’s drawing captures Martin perfectly!

I’ve kept our grief very very private, to protect Sam and Amy, and because I’ve simply not been able to share what I have left of my precious husband.

However, I realise that many of you would have liked to pay your respects - so we would love if you’d like to contribute towards a memorial bench. I’d like to get a handmade wooden bench for Sam, his friends and carers and us to sit and ponder, a sensory haven with visual, fragrant and tactile blessings.
