Help Save Harlequinn The Great Dane!

Everyone Meet Harlequinn aka Harley. We pulled her from the Downey Animal Care Center last week. She has been overbred and left outside her entire life. Callouses covering her legs and body. Trauma to the end of her tail. She is about 3 1/2 years old and was just dumped at the shelter because she was no longer useful to the breeders. When we got her, she was peeing blood because of a UTI so we immediately got her antibiotics. Then the next day she started coughing and developed Kennel Cough- very common coming from the shelters. So we had to extend the antibiotic treatment. But today it was worse, green mucus, hacking, vomiting, lethargy, lack of appetite, and gasping for air. Back to the vet we went. $760 later- confirmed pneumonia. Chest X-rays and more Antibiotics. We got her an anti nausea med injection and sub q fluids to help her but things aren’t looking great and that’s why we need your help. We are syringe feeding her every few hours so we can get some food in that tummy of hers. She is 120 pounds and losing weight quickly- you can imagine a dog this size- everything is twice as expensive if not more. On top of that, she has severe trauma to her tail, and the vets recommend amputation when she is better. She is incredibly sweet and loves to give kisses and paw you when she needs more love. Her favorite thing to do is cuddle. This girl needs us. We desperately need your help to cover this baby’s vet care presently and in the future. This won’t be her last vet visit.
