Help Brooke pay for her medical bills

Hi everyone, my name is Brooke Foit. I am a college student with a long history of severe medical issues. Despite growing up with constant pain or illness, the last 6 years or so have been the worst. I have chronic pancreatitis, IBS, and endometriosis. I’ve had surgeries to remove my endometriosis and chronic appendicitis, as well as removing a distended gallbladder. I am now facing my biggest, scariest surgery yet. August 5th I will have a TPAIT (Total Pancreatectomy and Autologous Islet Cell Transplant) and remove my spleen as well. During this procedure, the surgeon removes the pancreas, harvests those insulin-secreting islet cells from the pancreas, then reinfuses those cells back into the liver where they find a home and help manage blood sugar by secreting insulin. This will render me completely reliant on insulin for the rest of my life, as well as many enzyme pills with each meal for the rest of my life. As you can imagine, this is all very costly. I have to take a semester off of college to heal, but that also means I cannot work. If you cannot assist me financially, a prayer is always appreciated. I have been hospitalized numerous occasions because of this disease and it’s all adding up. Thank you for your time and for reading my story! COVID UPDATE:I will have to be alone during 2/3 of my 3 week process because of covid. (Two weeks of hospitalization and one week of staying in a Dallas apartment next to the hospital for monitoring) In order for my mom to be in the same city as me she must find rooming in an apartment nearby. Once I can go to the hospital’s apartment for monitoring, she can join. For that week it is $50 a night.
