Send Shannon To Beyonce!

To all the wonderful family, friends & people who have continuously supported Shannon and her family. The purpose of this "gofundme" is to start a fund for Shannon with hopes of sending the Harris girls to the Beyoncé concert on May 23rd.
As many of you know, Shannon’s lungs rejected her body and she has successfully completed a new transplant. Although she has new lungs there is still a long road to recovery. She and her family have gone through more than any of us can fathom. Many of you have asked what you can do. A few of us found out that Shannon loves concerts and specifically Beyoncé, and she shares this love with her sisters.
So we made a few calls to some “insiders” and purchased 3 tickets to the Beyoncé concert on the floor, right up front, for a whopping total of $3,000. We went all-out because we wanted this to be an experience like no other. Here is where you can help: we are asking for donations to help cover the cost of the tickets and some other things that can hopefully make this all possible. The plan, if enough is raised, is to hire a limo to take Shannon and her friends to the concert. O’Gara’s has generously agreed to donate the pre-concert meals for Shannon’s posse. As we get closer to the date and if the doctors don’t recommend the limo, then the back-up plan (with the doctors blessing) is to look into getting an ambulance with medical assistance in order to get Shannon to the concert (this could cost $3,000 to $5,000). We are continuing to work on more surprises for Shannon, but nothing can be confirmed until Beyoncé is actually in town. We are also working on a plan for a special day for Matt (Shannon’s brother) with the Minnesota Twins.
Whatever you would be willing to contribute toward this cause is greatly appreciated. We know everyone has been wondering what they can do to help, and this is just one small way we can all come together to put a smile on the Shannon’s face.
Just to be clear, the Harris family is not hurting financially, and we asked them if they would let us do this and they have given their approval, but in no way have they asked for this. We are doing this out of love & as a way of showing how much we as a community care. If Shannon is unable to make the concert, Katie or one of Shannon’s friends will attend with Maria & Monica.
If we collect more than the goal, the money will be given the Harris family, to use however they wish. We hope they take the donation and do something they have never done before, such as paying a $1000 for a concert ticket.
