Do you believe in open doors? I do. An open door is what caused me to take a big leap of faith last September.
You may or may not know this, but in 2015 I entered full-time ministry with my church as an intern. The Lord gave me the opportunity to answer the ministry call He’s placed on my life, and at first I was nervous. What about my job? What about stability? I felt Him asking if I was going to obey fear or obey Him. So I answered His call, and I took a step.
The last few months have been a crazy, exciting, rewarding journey. I’ve had the honor of pouring into the lives of youth all over Jacksonville, and I am forever changed. I already knew that today’s kids were dealing with unbelievable pressures, but now I get to walk with them through their struggles.
The Lord has positioned me to speak life into them when all they hear is death everywhere they turn. They talk to me about relationship issues, pornography addiction, agnosticism, just to name a few things. But here’s the great thing: I’ve seen so many come to know God more, learning to worship and trust Him.
God has blessed me in ways that I can’t begin to explain. It has been incredible these past few months discipling young people, praying with them, and teaching them about the power of the Holy Spirit. And all because I said yes to this journey that started with a leap of faith.
Now I’m asking you to take a leap of faith with me.
The internship at my church lasts for another four months, and my funding is running out quickly. Would you do two things for me? First, would you please PRAY. Pray for me that God would pour out provision so that I’m able to finish this season in ministry. Pray for the youth that I’m working with. Pray for worldwide REVIVAL in our youth today.
Next, would you pray about partnering with me by giving a one-time gift? By partnering with me, this ministry God has given me becomes our ministry. When you give, you’re saying you want to be a part of the work God is doing in the young people in our city. When you give, together we’re sowing seeds into our youth.
And we will see a harvest.
