Merv Calhoun Memorial Fund

As many of you have heard by now, on August 7th 2016 we lost a great man, Merv Calhoun. Merv leaves behind his beloved daughter Madelyn, his girlfriend Mary, and her daughters, who he loved like his own.  On the day he left us, he was busy moving into a new apartment to be shared with Mary and their children.  They were so excited to be starting this new chapter together.  We were all so happy for them and shared in their joy!  He unfortunately passed away later that night of natural causes.

I had the pleasure of knowing Merv through his involvement with Give Productions/Transit.  He was so genuine and real, which is something I have been hearing over and over again from his friends and loved ones over the past few days.  He was a straight shooter who told it like it is, and you knew you were always going to get the truth when you talked to him.  His greatest loves in life were his daughter and his music.  We will not be the same without him in our lives.

We are seeking funds to provide a memorial service for him, and to provide financial support to Madelyn.  We also wish to support Mary and her children as they find a new place to live and begin to pick up the pieces.  All funds raised will be used 100% for these purposes, with the entirety of any remaining funds going into an investment fund for Madelyn. 

Merv does not have blood family in this area and considered his friends to be his true family.  So many of us considered him a brother and a member of our own extended families, too.  Please consider giving a small amount of financial assistance to those closest to him in this time of need.  Any amount will help.
