Fellow classmates, co workers, members of the community:
Our graduating class had a member that had recently been diagnosed with small cell lung cancer.
She had a chest x ray for a routine cough thought to be bronchitis.
After a chest x ray two masses were found in her right lung and one in her lymph node. They ordered another CT scan of the abdomen and pelvic area and they found a mass on her right adrenal gland as well.
She will begin chemotherapy as soon as she returns back from meeting with doctors for a second opinion at Emory University in Atlanta. She has her port put in tomorrow (May 6th) and will begin chemotherapy (May 11th.)
She will have chemo three times a week. Every three weeks. Oncologist say it reacts well with chemo but it's been known to come back.
I challenge each of our graduating class members to donate to this young lady as well as members of the community. Even its its a small donation to every little bit helps.
I also ask that everyone keep Sarah in your prayers, as that's the best gift we can give!
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
