Steven Landis Memorial Fund

Unexpected grief and deep loss are swirling around our family as we mourn the death of my brother-in-law, Steve Landis who was only 56 years old.
On the morning of May 4, 2016, Steve laid in bed saying good-bye to his children as they left for school. 30 minutes later he passed from this world into heaven. Steve leaves behind a wife and 10 children. 5 adult children, a set of 10-year-old twin daughters, and a set of triplets, age 8.
Steve has a legacy of serving his community. As a dedicated former police officer, he was the president of the Oregon D.A.R.E. Association. He was honored as a national D.A.R.E. officer and served his community both as a foster parent and youth pastor. Sadly, Steve suffered a severe back and head injury that left him unable to work for many years. Leading up to his death, he and his wife had fallen on difficult financial times while trying to provide for their 5 children. As you can imagine, this sudden and tragic loss has left them desperate for financial help.
Our desire in creating this fund is to help ease their immediate financial burden and cover Steve's funeral expenses. (Cremation, death certificates, and a small memorial service.) Of course any additional funds raised will be given to help Steve’s widow and 5 younger children to help them in the days ahead.
Please pray for our family as we begin to sort out how best to attend to his affairs, provide love and support for his children, and meet their outstanding financial needs.
