My name is Justin Mims, and I am the campus director of Every Nation Campus Orlando, a campus ministry chapter apart of Orlando World Outreach Center. I am writing this to tell you about some of amazing things that God is doing in my life and I would love for you to be apart.
Last June, my wife, Kayla, and I moved down to Orlando, FL to be apart of Orlando World Outreach Center and lead the Every Nation Campus chapter at the University of Central Florida. We are officially done with year one and it has been quite a journey. Through this transitional period we’ve seen students get saved, baptized, freed from past bondage, get discipled and disciple others to disciple others. Two students have also received and will be answering the call to full-time campus ministry. God has blown my wife and me away with His faithfulness.
Now, God is moving in a new way, specifically in my life. Recently, Pastor Nick Jones, our North American Director of Campus Ministry reached out to me and asked me to attend the Every Nation School of Campus Ministry. The strategy of the school is to “train university and high school missionaries” and their “unique approach of classroom instruction and a practical internship provides both the principles and practices necessary for effective ministry to today’s students.” The school exists to “equip students with the skills and tools to minister to university and high school students in any setting.” Pastor Nick had already spoken with my senior pastor, Tim Johnson, and my previous campus pastor, Aaron Austin, in Jacksonville. They all agreed that now was a good time and that I should pray and discuss it with Kayla. We came to a quick decision.
At the end of this month, I will be heading to Nashville, TN for six weeks to attend the Every Nation School of Campus Ministry, but I need your help. I need to raise $2,100 in order to attend. The money will cover my tuition, books, host home and other required activities. The deadline for payment is May 15.
Would you partner with me, financially and prayerfully, to further develop myself as a spiritual leader and reach the college students of Orlando? Your prayers and financial gifts are greatly appreciated!
Sincerely,
Justin Mims
