Help Keep Us Safe

I am a mother of 6, and have recently taken in 4 of my sisters children. Three of the children were living in a drug house, so my attorney suggested getting a hair follicle done on the children. When their testing came back positive for meth, I knew I had to proceed with the 3rd party custody I had begun. Landon is a 6 year old boy who is full of life. Since he has been in our care, he is shaping into a polite young man who loves action figures and lots of hugs. He has been referred to a specialist for his ears as well, expecting tubes after his left ear gets drained. He is great in math, one of the best in his class. Since being placed in our care, his teachers have gone out of their way to voice their appreciation for the major changes that have been made to help Landon succeed in his education. Isaiah is a 4 year old boy with developmental delays & shows major signs of autism. Before being placed in our home, he was considered non-verbal, and very much in his own world. Since being in our home he is talking!! Repeating words and able to communicate the wants and needs he has on a daily basis. He has blossomed in so many areas, he is so proud to be able to be understood. He was just a little person that was waiting to come out and join us. He has never smiled and laughed so much. Isabel is a 3 year old beautiful little girl. She was not talking, and came to us in full time diapers. She is developmentally delayed as well, but her delays are due to neglect. Isabel was born with 3 skin tags on the right side of her face near her ear. When I took her to see a specialist about getting them removed, they discovered her issues inside the ear. She had surgery, ears drained, tubes put in, and her skin tags removed. She can not only hear, but is now speaking sentences. She is in IEP pre school and fully potty trained. She truly shines from within. (A princess in her own mind.) My sister understood that being a parent & drugs don't go together. She originally was behind helping save the children from the abuse and neglect they were experiencing. After their meth addicted and mentally unstable father began his fight in court for the children, she decided to try to clean up from meth & heroin and join him. Both the parents are still in full active addiction. They have not done anything the courts have required of them. When the father was court ordered to go get a hair follicle test done, (that I had prepaid for), he went so far as to create a fake hair follicle and submit it to the courts. He continues to repeatedly file motions pro Se and accrue unnessasary attorney fees for our family. Never did I imagine the financial end of this would be so great. We are putting all we have into the cost of keeping them safe. Please help us in our journey of keeping these children out of harms way, & away from the drug addictions they have already been subjected to.
