On Sunday, April 24th Valerie's apartment burned to ashes after a freak accident caused rapid flames to engulf her home. We feel blessed that she made it out safely and helped get everyone out of her building unharmed.
Unfortunately, everything was destroyed, including a lifetime of creative work, her visual arts, poetry, music, and all of her precious sentimental items. She lost her phone, her computer, her hardrives, her clothes. Everything burned to ashes and she did not have renter's insurance.
Rebuilding will take time and love, patience and compassion.
And it will require some tangible resources.
With even your smallest donation, we hope to help Valerie rebuild her life. Let her community come together to offer hope and support as she emerges from this event.
