Help me start a new chapter!

Hi everyone I am fundraising for a chance at a fresh start. I'm 40 years old, born and raised in Washington state. Some dear friends of mine have invited me to come and live with them in Boston. I live with a disability from a childhood accident that is debilitating at times and haven't been able to find a doctor who doesn't look at me like a lost cause. My friends believe that I can find a surgeon there that can help me. I have no cartilage in my left knee and very little in my right knee. I am absolutely willing to cross the country if it means that I can get some relief from this pain. I will also have some support finding a therapist to help me continue to deal with the trauma I have experienced in my life. I have Cptsd from childhood and a abusive relationship that I recently got out of. My lovely friend simply said "come here and we will help you heal". I crave peace, freedom and happiness and I will scratch and claw my way through the pain to get there. I don't think I will have to though, with their love and support. It's a long drive and my car needs some work done before I can leave. I paid a pile of money to get my brakes done and a month later they went out(terrifying) and the mechanic wanted to charge me to redo them plus another part and repair. I live on a fixed income from disability and that much money is not an option for me, I had to sell my laptop and camera to get it fixed the first time. There are a couple other things wrong with my car and it would be amazing to be able to get everything fixed! I would also like to replace my camera and laptop so I can do what I love. Photography is therapy for me and I want to document the trip. When I was a little girl I told myself that I would drive across the country and take pictures, I wanted to call the series "My America". I believe I have a interesting view being a biracial queer disabled woman living with a mental illness. I have been dehumanized and discriminated against like so many people but I have also experienced and witnessed such beauty, generosity and compassion from my fellow man. I want to capture as much as I can during the 3000 mile trip, also keeping a journal to go along with my pictures. Any help you can give would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Thanks for reading this.
