My Trip Back to Haiti

Hi, my name is Kimber Habib. Back in March I had the opportunity to spend a week at an orphanage in Ouanaminthe, Haiti. (You can read more about that trip here: https://www.tumblr.com/blog/eventhefarsideofthesea)
It was the most amazing week of my life, and from the moment I stepped off the plane I fell in love with the country and the people that I met. The experiences that I had interacting with the missionaries and children at Danita's Children and with the people in the surrounding areas completely changed my perspective of the world and opened my eyes to those hurting and in need all around. Since the day that my team left, I've felt that part of my heart stayed in Ouanaminthe, and I've been yearning for the day that I am able to return. As I prayed about Haiti and spoke with one of the long-term missionaries, I felt as though God is calling me to spend a month in Haiti and possibly go for two years sometime after that. After talking with the missionary in Ouanaminthe and my bosses we decided that June would be the ideal time for me to go, and I will be going from June 18th to July 16th. While I am there I will have the opportunity to spend more time getting to know the children and other missionaries, help out in the various areas of the ministry, and get a better picture of what everyday life in Haiti actually looks like.
My goal is to raise $3700 and I would be blessed if you would also prayerfully consider supporting me on this trip in any way that you can. The funds that I raise will go towards airfare, supplies, cost of living, and healthcare while I am there.
