Humane Society Exuma Animal Clinic Needs Help
Donation protected
The island of Exuma has many stray and owned dogs and cats that need medical care. Dr. Hanson travels to Exuma to assist in keeping the animals healthy, but is limited by the lack of proper diagnostic equipment.
We have a wonderful opportunity to purchase a new ultrasound machine that is badly needed at the Humane Society Exuma Animal Clinic at a very discounted price because it is an older model. In order to make this happen, we need to raise $4800 as quickly as possible.
Dr Hanson has increased his visits to Exuma and now comes every other weekend on his days off from his full time position in Nassau to assist the people and pets of Exuma. He places an emphasis on education, takes time to answer questions, and it is paying off tremendously. We are seeing a difference in pet care, and are working diligently to spay/neuter many strays that are then adopted into loving homes.
We now need to get the clinic fully equipped so pets and strays don’t have to be flown to Nassau for testing and diagnosis. Many people on this small island just can’t afford that expense, and often the injured or ill pets can’t survive the trip.
Please consider a donation to help us achieve this goal. All donations are greatly appreciated, and will allow Dr Hanson to provide even better care to the animals of the Exumas.
