Home Burglary - Saturday May 14th

Richard and Rhonda and their 8 children were devastated on Sunday May 1st as they came home from church to anyone's worst fear. Their home was on fire. The kitchen was a total loss, but most important, their family and pets were all safe.

They had no renters insurance and they lost a lot. Most everything on the first floor was severely damaged. The second floor had a lot of smoke and things were dusted with black soot, but salvageable. They had to leave their home of almost 7 years immediately until it could be fixed. They stayed with close family friends, but on the other side of 99 in Fresno.

Two weeks later on May 14th, a new tragedy struck. As they finished clearing out thier home for the recovery work to begin, they returned to west Fresno. While away they were robbed of their personal possessions that wouldn't fit in the storage container.

It was placed in boxes and bags in front of the garage but behind the storage container for the night until they could figure out where to put it. These items were mainly the 3 babies and 5 teens everyday clothes, Church suits and dresses, Rhonda's wedding gown, the oldest daughters wedding gown, (wedding July 30, 2016), teen daughter's prom dresses, craft items, towels, bedding, linens, shoes and even the babies toys. They took almost all of it. The crooks even went into the back yard and stole a large white cooler and the generator for the family camping trips.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated. This is a good, generous family who has had a very difficult time lately. They spend their time raising a loving family and serving in the community, helping others when ever possible. They have now found themselves in need.

Funds raised will be spent on replacing the downstairs items (refrigerator, sectional, table and chairs), replacing the hundreds of dollars worth of items stolen and for lodging while being out of their home.
