Medical expenses for Patrick

Hey everyone, meet Patrick! Patrick is a 28 year old Air Force veteran with a wife and 5 fur babies. Some of you already know the story, but for those that don’t, Patrick was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease a few years ago. HD is a fatal, degenerative neurological disorder resulting in declining and eventual loss of motor control and cognitive decline. There is no cure for HD, but there are medications that help. He has been on one called Austedo which was specifically designed to treat the symptoms of HD, but we are now running into issues with insurance covering the cost of the medication. And it is extremely expensive. Up till now, we received copay assistance from the manufacturer, but it has been used up and our portion of the cost is $6,000. We don’t expect to reach that amount, but any help you can give to make it easier would be amazing.
