Help for Shannon McKinnon and family
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
On behalf of Shannon McKinnon and with the help from Shannon’s friend Joe Marshall I created this GoFundMe for our dear friend and family member Shannon. Shannon was recently diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer that has spread to his liver. We are heartbroken to say it’s terminal and that there may not be the opportunity for treatment. Shannon 45, is a loving husband to his wife Carinel ,and an amazing father to three beautiful children, Victoria who will be 9 in August, and twins Jack and Connor 7.
After the birth of his first child Victoria, Shannon realized his wife Carinel was pregnant with his twin boys. Shannon, who has worked at Ports Toronto for the last 10 yrs realized he didn’t have the resources to raise three young children on his salary. A plumber by trade, Shannon promptly leased a truck and began working evenings as a Drain Man contractor. More often than not Shannon would leave for his Port Toronto job at 7am and go straight to his plumbing job at 4pm, not returning home to his family until 11 at night. He would often do this 6 days a week.
Most recently Shannon sponsored his in laws Ingrid and Henry to come to Canada from Venezuela, so that his family could be complete. His entire life is devoted to his family and everything he does is and always has been for them.
Obviously all of us in Shannon’s life are beyond devastated by this news. Shannon is so many things to so many people. We are trying to raise money to help support Shannon, his wife Carinel, and their kids since he is too sick to work anymore. The money we raise will be used to help support his family and to supplement the salary from his two jobs. In this way we are hoping to be able to provide for his wife and kids until they figure out their next step moving forward. We ask that you please take the time to donate any amount you can as anything helps. Whether you can or can’t donate we do ask that you please share his story and this page with your network(social media, call, text, etc.) so that it can reach as many people as possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you to all of you who will be donating. We cannot thank you enough.
