Save my little shop Diversions
WE NEED TO RAISE £4000 TO SAVE THIS MUCH LOVED SHOP FROM EVICTION
My little shop Diversions opened five years ago originally as a gift shop with some tv and movie ranges. I realised quite quickly that the movie merch and comic book ranges were the most popular so I decided to change the shop over to a pop culture shop something I personally am massively passionate about.
Over the last 5 years we have faced difficult times but with help and support from our customers and also celebrity backing from we have managed to continue trading even against new competition and returning big high street names.
We have had a really tough start to 2017 and are currently behind on rent and have had a burglary at the store but are doing all we can to keep trading and improve our sales.
We have some brilliant customers who look after this shop and really care about us and we want to continue to be here as part of this community of fans.
Over the last five years we have supported local artists get an outlet for their work from all backgrounds and ages, raised money for various charities through our theme days even produced custom tee shirts for a local hospice and hopefully provided a place customers can feel free to call in browse, chat movies and feel like a second home.
We've even had customers giving us stock and helping with money to help us after the break in.
This shop is my dream and I want to keep it going and help make it a stronger business but at the moment the lack of cashflow is killing us.
Any donation will help us clear our rent arrears and safeguard us against the threat of closure. We realistically need the funds ASAP as every day we are getting stronger and stronger demands for monies owed.
On a personal note I've struggled with my health the last few years and was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome a year ago. I continue to work six days a week with no holidays in 5 years because I believe in this place being a success
