The McCaslin Journey to Health

Donation protected
Mark McCaslin is a great father, son, husband, friend, community member, and brother in blue! The unknown sometimes can be paralyzing; however, in this time of hardship, Mark is not self indulged, but rather thinking of all those around him. The good Lord could not be more proud of the growth and journey Mark has been on and where he intends to use him next!

They say one small act of kindness can ripple beyond our reach. Mark has definitely impacted and touched many lives, and I believe it is our time to return his blessings.

As many of you know, Mark recently attended the FBI National Academy, class of 263. Shortly after his intense training he came down with an unknown illness. He has had many MRIs, CT-Scans, blood draws, lumbar punctures, etc. to rule out infections and other etiologies that may be causing his symptoms (nystagmus- a constant beating of his eyes, body tremors, nausea, back pain from lying down as he cannot sit up well or stand up at this point, some loss of muscle tone, etc.).  Currently,  there has not been a diagnosis; however, a lot of viruses and bacterial infections have been ruled out. April has been with him every step of the way and has missed work to be by his side. Obviously, Mark is also missing work and his co-workers are missing him as well. As they journey through this illness, the medical bills are increasing, as well as travel expenses and living expenses. April is trying to balance work, home duties, and being by Mark's side during this time.

Many have asked how they may be able to help in such a tragic and sudden event. I believe at this point in time the McCaslins would appreciate prayer warriors, monetary donations, care packages, etc. They both are quick to give and slow to receive; however, I think it's their turn to receive! I know that April reads all messages to Mark and he appreciates all of the prayers and well wishes. I ask that you do as you feel called. Mark and April have expressed tremendous appreciation for the continued prayers.

I'll leave you with this thought... God knows how to take the unknown--the abstract and turn it into a beautiful masterpiece. Sometimes the most wonderful things happen in a lens of grayscale and not black and white. May we unite in prayer and support for the unknown, fully knowing that the known has it in his hands. Mark and April and your entire family, we are in this together!

From The McCaslins and myself, thank you for your support and prayers!
