As many of you know already on May 8th , 2020 , I was involved in a near fatal crash in Baton Rouge , La where I moved to turn my dreams into reality .. My initial injuries were multiple fractures to the face , brain fractures/injuries , and unfortunately , the loss of an organ with that organ being my eye .. I was devastated when I woke up to the news because all my injuries were in my face and well .. I was terrified ! I was afraid of how “ other people “ would react to what they would have to see .. seeing my face was a shock to me because it was all beat up and bloody .. I was a mess but I was determined to not let the people around me see how bad I was feeling .. Instead I created a game plan to help me say focused on what I set out to do .. I wanted to do everything I ever said I would , I desired to give back and I was determined to not let this break me .. I started a GoFundMe because one of my friends suggested .. I can’t afford the surgeries that I need/want and she knew people from all across the world would help me get my life back ! Initially my only focus was one surgery in which Medicaid wouldn’t cover and as my healing process progressed the more $$ I needed to be “ ok “ .. my injuries are different for me because they’re in my face .. in a way I feel like I relive that night everyday .. looking at myself is a constant reminder of what I went through and who I went through it with because I wasn’t the driver of the vehicle .. with many legal cases being active well I honestly just don’t have the money to do what I want done .. I’m forever grateful for those whom have contributed both kind , loving , and motivational messages and blessing as well as money ! I can’t say thank you enough .. I’m honored to have met many of you and when all is said and done I’ll be sure to be this big blessing for someone else someday soon !
