Hello, my name is Anthony Garcia and I live in Anthony, TX. I am fundraising to be able to donate one of my kidney's to my cousin Robert Rubio who lives in Pueblo, CO. He has been on Dialysis for over three years. He is on a national transplant list but has not been able to recieve a kidney. He has two young children and a beautiful wife. When I went home to CO to visit my father last year, I ran into my cousin Melvin (his brother). I asked how my cousin Robert was and he pointed to the guy next to him. I didn't recognize him. He had lost over 65 lbs and his skin was dark from all the treatment he had been going through. On the drive back home to TX, I asked my wife what she thought about me trying to see if I was a match. We prayed about it and had an overwhelming feeling that I needed to try and help.  Over the past year I have been traveling on my own dime to Denver, CO to take tests to verify if I was a match. I prayed about it and two months ago I found out that I was a match. The initial consultation with the transplant team stated that if I was a match his insurance would take care of everything. Well as it turns out they will only take care of the surgery and medication needed for recovery. I am scheduled for surgery June 7, 2016. I have used up most of my vacation traveling back and forth for testing to see if I was a match. I will have to fly up to Denver the week before the surgery for pre-operation testing. Then come back to work for a week and then drive up with my wife to Denver for the sugery. They say I will be out of work for two weeks minimum. I am taking this time off without pay as I have used most of my vacation to facilitate this surgery. I also will need to put my wife in a hotel for ten days close to University Medical Center CU and afford her meals. My heart is willing but my bank account is not. I know the Lord brought this to me and I am praying he will provide a way to see me through it. I could not express my gratitude for your consideration  in helping fund this account.
