Chicago Jets Fight Cancer
Donation protected
The Chicago Jets are fighting cancer to support Rachel Lococo and her family. They want you to know they're thankful for the caring and supportive texts, calls, and generous gifts to help lift the family's spirits since their battle with cancer started.
Our Rockstar Rachel is fighting hard. The original radiation helped decrease pain and discomfort significantly, but she has had a tough road. She initially tolerated the oral chemo and pain meds like a champ, but that soon changed. She was taken off the chemo in June, and the nasty cancer returned with a vengeance. Recent scans were taken with her neurooncologist. He and the lung oncologist are working on a new plan of care, possibly radiating the whole brain and putting a port in for traditional chemo and the oral one. Despite having stage 4 lung cancer, metastasis, and complications, her spirits are excellent. Rachel is happy, positive, and determined to beat this. Please keep her in your prayers.
As a Jet's coach, I look forward to seeing how we can support Rachel and her family. All donations will go directly to the Lococo family.
The weekend of 10/28-10/30 is full of Jets home games to help support this event and cancer awareness. We will host a silent auction at Johnny's Ice House West and an open skate after the final game on 10/30.
