My Son is in dire need of immediate medical treatment for Toxic Black Mold exposure. Please help me share my Son's story!
My name is Donna and I am starting this Go Fund me account for my 28 year old Son, Christopher Hoven. He grew up in Gonzales and graduated from East Ascension High School. Since then he has been a hard working man that does anything to provide for his family. He is a devoted Father of 3 children. Nathan-12, Kyndal-2 and Braxton-1. In 2015 he and his Wife were lease purchasing a home from a business man in Denham Springs. After only eight months of living there, his wife Kristi noticed something black on the walls in their newborn Son's closet. They hired a professional to come out to test it and their worse nightmare came true. It was 3 different types of toxic black mold. They found out from neighbors that their home has always had mold in it but the man who sold them the home covered it up. They had to hire an Attorney to release them from their contract and legally move out. It was a financial strain because they invested over $20,000 in the home and only received a fraction of it back. They still were not able to move out of the home for another 4 months. Prior to finding out about the mold, Chris started to develop medical issues. Since then they have only gotten worse. He has been to the Emergency room at least 20 times, countless Urgent Cares, and has seen 8-10 different Doctors with different diagnosis. Here are some diagnosis he has been given and or treated for:
Low Testosterone, H-Pylori, Bacterial Infection of the gut, Anxiety, Panic Disorder, Asopheogeal Ulcers and lesions, Depression, Chest pain, Numbness in his face, legs, and arms, nausea, dizziness and I could go on and on. He finally found a Doctor who was able to run Mold testing this week and it came back showing abnormal Mold Spores in his body, but they don't know what organs might be effected. He is also scheduled to have his gallbladder removed this week due to it not functioning properly. I have watched how hard this has been for my Son and his Wife. He is not able to hardly work, or even get on the floor and play with his children because he is in such pain. Anyone that knows my Son, knows how good hearted and full of life he is. He loves spending time with his family and friends but lately he can't even do that. It kills me as a Mother to see my Son go through this. There is an wellness institute in Florida that specializes in the mold they found in Chris but it is very costly and unfortunately his health insurance does not cover any of it. Our family is not one to ask for much help but at this point we are grasping at straws to get my Son better. His children need their Father, Kristi needs her husband, and I need my Son back. My friend suggested I create this account in hopes to raise the money to get the treatment he needs. I will be happy to disclose any and all medical information to anyone that could and is interested in helping my son, and my family. Please consider him in your prayers if you can not help.
