Hi there,

My name is Matt Laferty and I'm trying to help Terry Durst. Terry has many good friends looking out for him, but I wanted to relieve some of the burden on them by setting this up.

Terry is a long-time resident of the mighty Waterloo neighborhood. He's been an artist and active member of Cleveland's arts scene for many years. He's also a mainstay bartender at the wonderful Beachland Ballroom.

Terry is currently on a ventilator in the hospital. We don't know when he can be taken off of it. He's been there about seven days and counting. His BELOVED dog Duke is partially paralyzed and is depending on the kindness of strangers while Terry is incapacitated.

Terry's friends (he doesn't have much family) are trying to look out for him, but he needs help. Terry's condition is very serious at the moment.

We want to raise money to:

1. Cover Terry's hospital bills.
2. Help Terry keep his rent and utilities paid while he is in the hospital and as he recovers.
3. Help Terry pay for Duke's likely end-of-life issues.
4. Help give Terry a cushion for when he gets out of the hospital and may not be able to immediately be on his feet.
