Help fund the fight!

Hi, my name is Neven and I've known Michelle Grimaldi for approximately 35 years I'm here trying to raise some funds to help Michelle fight the fight with cancer. She found an abnormality on the surface of her skin and was sent to multiple doctors who prescribed medication and creams, all of which didn’t work. On March 1st, 2023 Michelle went in for a check-up due to the scab she had found. That day a biopsy was taken. During this time Michelle was already healing from an unrelated wrist surgery and was about to start working. On March 8th Dr. Piguet of Women’s College Hospital (in dermatology) diagnosed Michelle with stage 2 Invasive Ductile Carcinoma, Breast Cancer. Then she was handed over to the more than capable hands of Dr. Lim who became her breast surgeon. She's had a total of 6 surgeries and a 7th incision. She is currently being seen by Dr. Liu Radiation Oncologist & Dr. Kumar Medical Oncologist at Princess Margaret Hospital. She's done 4 weeks of grueling radiation. After "all clear" scans are taken this coming September, reconstructive surgery will need to take place. In the past 1.5 years, Michelle has only worked 2 months and has had no government help. She's blown through her savings. As we all know if someone cannot work bills will rack up. So let's help Michelle with that and with some living expenses. She wanted to keep things private, but the system is so broken that there was no choice but to ask for help. It’s impossible to heal properly while you struggle. Michelle wanted to continue this battle alone because she’s never been comfortable asking for help for herself, so that’s why we (a group of her friends and family) are trying to do this for her. I know that we can make this easier for her by helping her like she's helped so many. Anyone who knows Michelle knows what a huge heart she has. She's been there for so many people, me included. If the tables were turned and this were you, Michelle would be among the first to help. I know at one point or another she's helped you. She may have gotten you into a concert, sometimes even backstage and on a tour bus. She continues to also see Dr. Kwan who is a Pain Management Oncologist for the ongoing excruciating pain. Thank you for your support and coming through!
