Nicole’s Lung Transplant Recovery Fund
Donation protected
In 2019, Nicole was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension. This disease is very rare, but especially for a 26 year old. Her decline was quick and vicious, shutting down her organs and taking away her ability to breathe and live. She was put on a medicine called Remodulin to stabilize her and treat her for the PAH. In June of 2020, her body started to give up and she was put on an ECMO machine. During her sedation, she was matched for a new set of lungs. On June 19th, she had a double lung transplant. Her surgeons and doctors realized that she had a mutation of PAH, making her case even more rare. They call her a Unicorn. The Remodulin was actually killing her, having the opposite effect of what it should of been doing. Nicole is now in recovery and is doing fabulously.
Nicole has a dream to be a Park Ranger. She loves nature and science. She is an extremely brilliant and compassionate human who is most deserving of her second chance at life. All money donated would help with Nicole’s recovery costs and help her get back on her feet and restart her life. Thank you!
