An Unstoppable Soul GOD blessed us with a wonderful man to be our dad, Luis Armando Mangandi. Our  father was sadly taken by COVID- 19 on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 3:49 PM.  Something we all hoped would not touch our families. Our father’s passing was unexpected, a man that took very good care of himself and it showed, energetic with a sound body and mind.  Our father was full of life and love.   Born in 1943 in the beautiful capital of El Salvador, San Salvador.   He was the second of four siblings who fondly remember him.  He had big dreams, gifted in many ways, he had a passion for writing, and in his early days also for reciting poetry.  It was through poetry that he met our mother, Dora Alicia Trigueros De Mangandi, and a love story began and five children were born to this matrimony.   We grew up hearing his counsel and fatherly guidance; one that he modeled daily.  Our dad was a man with a giving heart, a very intelligent man who loved to teach but as well continued to love learning his whole life. Throughout his life he did much traveling, and dedicated his life to the study of Chinese and herb medicine as an acupuncturist; he helped many people selflessly giving his services at times without charging.     GOD blessed us with a wonderful man to be our dad and for that we are very grateful to God. Our father was a confident  teacher and avid student. A man that modeled character; as he wasn’t one to finger point, didn’t judge others; he didn’t hold resentment and wherever he was in life; he didn’t complain and was always grateful to God for everything.     We are working on funeral arrangements for our loving father; the time and date will be announced in a few days.  As you may imagine viewing and burial will be different.  We will provide details as soon as we have concluded finalizing them. As a suggestion we would like to make this option available for your consideration in that in-lieu of flower arrangements, an offering can be made at Gofundme to help with funeral expenses. We are thankful for your love, appreciation and kindness demonstrated in this very difficult time.  We appreciate everyone’s continued prayer while we grieve but also hope in knowing that God blessed us with many memories to keep and cherish.  He will forever be missed; however, we find comfort in knowing that eternal life is real and God’s promises are too; and that we will meet him again as he made the best decision one can make here on earth; to accept Jesus as his savior and Lordd.
