Richard Allen "Ricky" Jones was truly one of a kind. He was the son, husband, dad, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, friend, coach, and all around person we hope to someday be. The kind of man we want our kids to be around and idolize. He ALWAYS put others before himself. If you needed help he was there in a hurry and never once asked what was in it for him.
Ricky grew up playing sports in Sweeny. He married his high school sweetheart Marissa. They had two beautiful boys, little Ricky and Tyler, both of whom are shining examples of the man he was and the men they will one day be. Family was everything to Ricky. He loved Marissa and his boys fiercely and unconditionally.
On May 1st, Ricky, Marissa, and little Ricky were coming home from a youth basketball game and were struck head-on by another driver who veered into their lane. Ricky, always protecting his family and putting others first, swerved enough so that his side of the vehicle took the brunt of the impact, saving Marissa and little Ricky.
