Love for Logan <3
Logan Brooks was diagnosed in utero with a right sided aortic arch. He didn’t have any other heart variants. On May 18th, 2017 Logan was born with no complications. As Logan grew older, he developed concerning symptoms and chest x-rays were done and identified that there was some compression on his trachea.
On March 12th Logan had a CT and bronchoscopy to see exactly what the damage was and how much compression was happening. Sadly, there was a little more damage and compression than anticipated. His trachea was compressed and had severe narrowing of his esophagus. The family soon learned heart surgery would be required.
On April 19th, Logan went through surgery in Boston. They divided the vascular ring, reimplemented the aorta to the left of the spine, repositioned the trachea back a little and repositioned the subclavian in the left arm.
Logan is recovering but facing immediate challenges within breathing on his own during recovery while his family surrounds him in Boston. We all love you Logan and our thoughts are with you as you fight this battle.
The entire family is going through a challenging and unfortunate experience. The challenges they are facing cannot be explained with words as they extend their stay in Boston. Secondary things such as hotel / meals and medical expenses may be adding up that should not be a concern at all for the entire family during this extremely difficult time.
Reach out if you can help in any way and possibly use this vehicle as a means to assist the family in a way as we all send our Love for Logan and the entire family <3.
