Help Raise Funds for APB School, Senegal
Donation protected
A lot has changed in the world since March, including education in Senegal, where 90% of the population cannot afford online learning. Children, like the Adja Penda Ba students, are left behind with nowhere to turn for months of lockdown, parents are worried about their children’s uncertain future, and teachers are left with no answers. Given our current financial situation, we are worried about being able to compensate teachers and administrators for the remainder of this year. Another concern for the upcoming school year, starting in October, is how to create a safe learning environment with single seat desks to accommodate all of our students and still follow the social distancing guidelines.
Our immediate goals are to create the safest learning environment possible for our students while also being able to keep APB teachers and staff on payroll. We will be using upcoming donations for the following:
• Purchase new single student desks, necessary to create social distancing in the classrooms
• Pay all teachers and staff throughout the summer schooling period and onto the next school year
At the start of the COVID-19 crisis, we set a fundraising goal for $10,000. I know we will all get through this, and with your continued help APB will too.
Stay safe!
