Hayward High Farmer Football is raising money for new away game jerseys, varsity assistant coaches, new helmets, and summer camps/7on7s.
Our Away game Jerseys are two years old and are torn up and dirty. We are purchasing 40 new, Under Armour jerseys, which should last 4 seasons, but which are 50% more expensive then the old jerseys. The jerseys normally cost $150 apiece, but due to our contract with UA, we will get them for $100 peer jersey. Altogether, this will cost us $4000.
We also need money to buy 10 new helmets. Our helmet inventory is aging and for player safety, we want to phase out the Riddell Revolutions, some models of which are not made any more. We will be replacing them with Schutt Vengeance and AirXPs at $200 per helmet. This will cost us $2000 total.
The school district only provides 5 coaches stipends for the entire football program. 3 varsity stipends, 1 JV stipend and 1 Varsity stipend. Currently there are 13 coaches on staff. This means 8 coaches are spending their time, energy and effort and getting ZERO compensation. This is not fair to them or their families. I would like to raise $3000 so the varsity assistants can get $500 each, theJV and freshmen can get $300 each.
The $9,000 we raise with this campaign will change the direction of these young men's lives. Seven players in the past five years have gone from Hayward to play college football at a 4 year University or college. Our team GPA has risen from a 1.9 to a 2.97 in the past five years. We've made the playoffs the past two seasons and are looking to take the next step by winning a league championship. Your contributions make this possible.
